Abstract

1491783 Method of preventing the removal of a fitting G E W LEWIN 27 Feb 1975 [28 Feb 1974] 8280/75 Heading F2H A method of preventing the removal of a fitting attached to a support by at least one recessed screw 2 (or pin) having a head of diameter substantially equal to that of the recess 6 comprises inserting into the recess a member 10 the diameter of which, when in position in the recess, is substantially equal to that of the head of the screw (or pin). The member may be a pin which is knocked into bore 8 in the head of the screw, preferably in such a manner that the outer surface of the pin lies flush with the outer surface of the fitting. The shank of the pin may be furrowed, (Fig. 6, not shown). Alternatively, the member may be a disc, which is either concave, or embossed with or without a radially slotted circumferential edge (Figs. 7-12, not shown).
