1491687 Excavating earth by loosening and sucking up the earth HOLLANDSCHE AANNEMINGMAATSCHAPPIJ BV 29 Nov 1974 51812/74 Heading E1F Tn a method of underwater dredging earth, particularly sand, is loosened by moving at least one cutting blade 1 through the earth whilst supplying a fluid to the earth ahead of the cutting blade at a position of the failure slip plane produced in the earth by movement of the cutting blade therethrough. The fluid may be air or water and may be supplied through nozzles secured to support means comprising projecting webs each having an upwardly inclined lower edge, the angle of inclination of which is similar to the angle of said failure slip plane. Dutch published application 6501314 is referred to.
