Abstract

149,063. Bengough, C. F. May 5, 1919. Sleepers, metal.-Channel sleepers 3 have rail seats composed of inverted channel-shaped saddles 1 which are so shaped that, when secured in position by rivets 7, their upper faces are inclined inwardly, preferably at an angle of 1 in 20. As shown the saddles have sides 14 provided with curved ends 12 to fit the curve in the angles of the sleeper 3.
