Abstract

1489296 Valves LENINGRAD N-I I KONSTRUKTOR INST KHIMICHE MASHINOSTROENIA 22 July 1975 30514/75 Heading F2V In a non-return valve for a compressor a ported polygonal sleeve 2 is fitted in a hole in a plate 1. Ports 5 are provided in each of the flat sides of the sleeve and these are controlled by flaps 7 attached to the outside of the sleeve by a ring 8. The flaps taper in width to a specified degree towards the anchored end and may also taper in thickness to a specified degree in this direction. A hole (10), Fig. 2 (not shown), may be provided in the narrower part of the flap. The hole in the plate 1 may be made pyramidal in shape in the region of the ports to provide a limit stop for the flaps. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 4 (not shown), the sleeves are formed integrally with the plate 1. In a yet further embodiment, Fig. 5 (not shown), the flaps are held in place by means of a flexible bushing inserted between the sleeve and the surface of the hole. The bushing provides a limit stop for the flaps.
