1488606 Gas scrubbing BTR INDUSTRIES Ltd 27 Jan 1976 [6 Feb 1975] 5159/75 Heading B1R [Also in Division Cl] Unwanted constituents are removed from a gas by passing it through a first-portion of liquid 10, in which the constituent is soluble or with which the constituent reacts, as a first series of bubbles and then passing the gas through a second portion of the liquid 10 as a second series of bubbles, wherein the second and preferably both portions of the liquid wets and agitates a plurality of spherical bodies 7 which slow the passage of gas therethrough.
