Abstract

1488485 Asulam for regulating sugar cane growth MAY & BAKER Ltd 18 Nov 1974 [20 Nov 1973] 53734/73 Heading ClB Asulam or a salt thereof is applied to sugar cane after the time of close in, to increase the sucrose, content thereof. Application is preferably made 2 to 11 weeks before harvesting, and may be made to the foliage of the cane in an amount of 0À05 to 12 kg. per hectare. The asulam may be applied as a composition comprising a liquid or solid carrier, and a surface active agent, another growth regulator, a fertilizer, trace elements, or an insecticide, the composition containing 0À01-95% by weight asulam.
