1487833 Screeding surfaces M J GREENAN 30 Sept 1975 [30 Sept 1974] 42285/74 Heading E1S The base of a sedimentation tank, e.g., is screeded by initially laying down concentric rings 5 of e.g. a cement mortar, and then infilling between adjacent rings with a screeding material. The rings may be formed by employing a trowel 6 fixed to a rotating agitator arm 4, the trowel comprising two channel-sectioned portions, 11 and 13, each with downwardly diverging side walls, those of the lower channel 11 extending outwardly less in plan view than those of channel 13.
