Abstract
1487574 Measuring angular displacements electrically T KONWERSKI 15 May 1975 [2 July 1974] 29216/74 Heading G1N [Also in Division G5] The angular position of an arm 45 pivoted at 44 is detected by a differential transducing arrangement comprising two coils 47, each forming part of a parallel tuned circuit affected by movement of a ferrite element. A high-frequency signal applied to both circuits is of such frequency that while the voltages developed with 45 in its central position are equal, angular movement causes one circuit to move towards and the other away from resonance, the rectified voltages across the circuits being applied to a differential amplifier.
