Abstract

1487552 Detergent bars UNILEVER Ltd 17 Sept 1974 [19 Sept 1973] 43918/73 Addition to 1417183 Heading C5D A detergent bar suitable for use in personal washing contains from 5% to 55% by weight of a glutamate salt (defined) readily soluble in water at room temperature and/or 12% to 20% by weight of a lactate salt (defined) readily soluble in water at room temperature. The salts may be the sodium potassium ammonium or alkanolammonium salts of glutamic and lactic acids. The bars may contain sodium coconut isethionate, C 10 -C 18 fatty acids or sodium tallow soap. The lactate and/or glutamate provide a moisturizing effect. The bars have good physical properties during use.
