1487514 Polyetherester moulding compositions EASTMAN KODAK CO 4 Feb 1975 [4 Feb 1974 (2)] 4756/75 Heading C3R An elastomeric polyetherester moulding composition comprises (A) 0À5 to 5 wt. per cent of a sodium salt of a saturated linear aliphatic C 10-20 monocarboxylic acid and (B) 95 to 99À5% of a polyetherester of inherent viscosity at least 0À4 derived from (1) a dicarboxylic acid component comprising (a) 60 to 100 mole per cent terephthalic acid and (b) x (= 0 to 40) mole per cent of an aliphatic or different aromatic dicarboxylic acid of M.W. below 300 and (2) a diol component comprising (a) a glycol comprising (i) 60 to 100 mole per cent tetramethylene glycol and (ii) y (= 0 to 40) mole per cent of a different glycol of M.W. below 300, and (b) 10 to 60% by weight of the polyetherester of a poly (C 2-4 alkylene oxide) glycol of M.W. 400 to 5000; x+y not exceeding 50. In specific Examples (A) is 50 to 500 micrcn sodium stearate or laurate, (B)(l)(b) is 1,4-cyclohexanol dicarboxylic acid, (B)(2)(a) (ii) is not used and (B)(2)(b) is poly (tetramethylene oxide) glycol of M.W. 1000, 2000 or 3900. The compositions can be rapidly injection moulded; comparative compositions wherein (A) is Li, Ca or Zn stearate, Li palmitate, Na benzoate or talc or is absent are subject to sticking under the same conditions.
