Abstract

1485969 Connecting tubes J GLANZER 1 Oct 1974 42503/74 Heading E2B An element for connecting together tubes, rods &c. comprises a block-like member 1, Fig. 1, having formed therein three grooves 4, 5, 6 of U-shaped section, the axes of which extend in mutually different directions and the walls of the block-like member defining the arms of each groove being of unequal length and releasable means e.g. grub screws 7, 8, 9 to prevent a tube, rod, &c. in the groove from disengaging therefrom. The grooves are preferably mutually perpendicular and the base of the grooves semi-circular. The block-like member 1 may have one corner chamfered off to provide a truncated portion having a face 12, Fig. 5, with a threaded bore 13 therein so that it may be joined to a similar truncated block member for connecting three mutually perpendicular pairs of parallel rods or tubes (Fig. 7, not shown).
