Abstract

1484062 Thiol-containing stabilizer combinations DAICEL Ltd 27 Sept 1974 [28 Sept 1973] 42066/74 Heading C3P Halogen-containing resin compositions of improved heat and colour stability comprise one or more metal soaps (see below) and one or more compounds in which R 1 -R 4 may individually be H or substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl, aryl cycloalkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, carboxyalkyl, epoxyalkyl or epoxyalkenyl or R 1 and R 3 may be part of a carbocyolic ring. The soaps have at least 4 carbon atoms in the acid moiety which in addition to conventional soap-forming acids may be benzoic acid, phenol, cresol and acetoacetic acids. Other conventional stabilizers such as epoxidized soybean oil may also be present.
