Abstract

1481495 Weighing electrically GAINESVILLE MACHINE CO Inc 5 Sept 1975 36655/75 Heading G1N(A) [Also in Division B8] Apparatus for detecting and dispensing articles, e.g. chickens, of pre-selected weight suspended by shackles 44 along a conveyer line 42 comprises a platform 19 for successively supporting the shackles, a load cell 20 coupled to the platform, switching means, Fig. 5, responsive to the load cell output, and a solenoid 30 coupled to a trip lever 35, 40 for releasing an article from the shackles 44. The switching means comprises high and low comparators provided by differential amplifiers 82 and relays 88 and a time delay circuit provided by multi-vibrators MV1, MV2 and relay 100 which circuit prevents energization of the solenoid until the shackle rollers 66 are near the middle of the platform.
