Abstract

1481309 Clips UNITED-CARR Ltd 11 April 1975 [11 April 1974] 16224/74 Heading E2B A clip 10, Fig. 7 comprises two parts 11, 12 each part having a first portion snapengageable with a corresponding portion of the other part so as to be relatively rotatable and separable and a further portion e.g. arms 17, 18, 28, 29 engageable with a member e.g. a pipe, rod, cable, 13, 14 &c, the direction of snap engagement being transverse to the axis of rotation. As shown, part 11 has a base 15 connected by shank 21 to enlarged, disc-shaped head 20 and flexible arms 17, 18 e.g. to receive a cable 14. Part 12 has a base 22, flexible arms 28, 29 to receive cable 13, base 22 having a T-shaped slot 23, the entrance of which receives shank 21 and has converging sides 25 leading to a neck (26, Fig. 6, not shown) narrower, than shank 21 and circular part (27) so that parts 11, 12 are snap-engageable and relatively rotatable. Each part may have sufficient resilient arms to engage a plurality of cables (Fig. 8 not shown), or one part (61, Fig. 9 not shown) may engage an apertured panel.
