Abstract
1481141 Coating with low-melting point metals; alloys ST JOE MINERALS CORP 9 Jan 1975 [2 Oct 1974 15 Jan 1974] 892/75 Headings C7A and C7F A substrate of e.g. paper, cloth, wood, plastics or gypsum is coated with Pb, Zn, Sn, Cd, Al or alloys thereof by passing a dispenser 16 containing the molten metal over the substrate, the dispenser having e.g. a roller 34 of e.g. hard rubber or ceramics to roll the metal whilst it is still molten. The support 10 for the substrate may be heated by electric coils 12. The alloy may be (wt. per cent) Pb-0À08 Ca-1À0Sn;Pb-0À09 Li-0À04 Ca-1À0 Sn; Pb-0À08 Ca-0À1 Sn, Zn-7 Al-3À3 Cn; and Zn-Al, and Pb-Sb alloys.
