Abstract

1480545 Drinking cups E S FATTAL 3 July 1975 27986/75 Heading A4A [Also in Division B8] A drinking cup 12 is provided with a disc 17 having a diameter between the maximum and minimum diameters of the cup such that when the disc is inserted into the cup with its perimeter in engagement with the inner surface of the cup, it becomes wedged in the lower portion of the cup spaced from the base by a distance not more than one third of the height of the cup, thereby forming a chamber 18 which can contain a serving of dry beverage. The dimensions of the cup and disc are preferably such that when the cups are stacked or assembled in a dispensing tube 13, Fig.1, the walls of the cups are not wedged together. An internal shoulder 22, Fig. 2, limiting the insertion of the disc into the cup and pull tab 21 for removal of the disc from the cup may be provided. The cup may be made of plastics or plastics coated material and the disc of rigid plastics.
