1479495 Conveying bottles or similar articles DE FORENEDE BRYGGERIER AS 11 Feb 1975 [11 Feb 1974] 5825/75 Heading B8A A conveyer system for bottles or similar articles is shown comprising a primary conveyer belt T1 moving at a speed V1 and of initial width d t , equivalent to six rows of bottles F, which is reduced to a width d i equivalent to two rows over an introduction section IB by rails S1 S2, and a secondary single row conveyer belt T2 travelling parallel to the belt T1 and at a speed V2 greater than V1. The width d i is at least D(1+ #3/2) where D is the diameter of the bottles and over a collection section SB1 the width reduces to about 1À7D, the angle between the rails S1, S2 over the section SB1 being designated by α and the surfaces of the guide rails S1, S2 have a coefficient of friction Á relative to the bottles F which is less than tan(15‹-α/2). Preferably α is between 3‹ and 6‹ and Á is less than 0À2. Each guide rail S1, S2 may be of steel bolstered by a suitable plastic material, such as ultra high molecular polyethylene.
