1477922 Swan-necks for trailers CRANE FRUEHAUF Ltd 9 Jan 1975 [13 Feb 1974] 6510/74 Heading B7T A swan-neck for attachment to one end of a low-loader trailer, comprises a structure 1 which is pivoted to a cranked structure 2 and which carries a king-pin 6 for cooperation with the fifth wheel plate of a wheeled axle, bogie, or towing vehicle, the swan-neck being provided with a hydraulic, electric, or mechanical power means arranged to act between the structures 1, 2 and effective, in use, to raise and lower the said end of the trailer. A respective swan-neck may be detachably secured to each end of the trailer. As shown, the power means comprises a hydraulic ram 3.
