1477823 Supplying fluoride to the teeth COLGATE-PALMOLIVE CO 10 Jan 1974 [30 July 1973] 13354/76 Divided out of 1460581 Heading A5B A kit for use in performing a process of supplying fluoride to the teeth, which process comprises applying to the teeth a source of fluoride ions and an acidulated aqueous solution containing orthophosphate ions and having a pH in the range form 3 to4, then neutralizing the pH to about 7 with an aqueous neutralizing solution containing calcium ions and orthophosphate ions, the kit comprising: a first container containing an aqueous solution of phosphoric acid having dissolved therein up to 2% by weight of a water-soluble fluoride which is not hydrolysed by phosphoric acid, this solution having a pH in the range from 3 to 4; and a second container visually distinguishable from the first container and containing an aqueous solution of a watersoluble calcium salt and a water-soluble monohydric orthophosphate salt, this solution having a pH of about 7.
