1477506 Moulding L.D. foam articles G T ENTERPRISES (LITTLEHAMPTON) Ltd 6 May 1975 [24 July 1974] 32772/74 Heading B5A [Also in Division C3] A method of forming a low density foam article comprises moulding a block of foam having a density less than 20 oz per cu.ft., cutting or otherwise detaching a member from the block and moulding the member at an elevated temperature to form the article e.g. a ceiling tile or insulating wall lining. The block may be formed from polystyrene beads having a diameter in the range 0À5-1À3 mm. The member may be detached from the block using a hot wire, by sawing, routing or grinding. The block may be rectangular or circular in crosssection.
