Abstract

1477465 Clamps W E A SHELTON and H SHELTON 25 Sept 1974 [3 Oct 1973] 46124/73 Heading E2B [Also in Division F2] An expanding jaw clamp for securing tubular elements 24, 28 together has a shaped seating 6 for abutting one of the elements, and a set of fingers 4 expanded by a cone 14 for gripping the inner surface of the other member. The cone seats in recesses 12 and is retained by inwardly projecting lips 22, rotation being prevented by ribs 20. The clamp may be of square profile, as shown, or round. For Figures see next column
