1476274 Benzobicycloalkene amines and related compounds AMERICAN HOME PRODUCTS CORP 8 April 1975 [14 Jan 1975] 14282/75 Addition to 1466413 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of the Formula I wherein A represents CHNR<SP>2</SP>R<SP>3</SP>, C=O or C=NY; R represents hydrogen, C 1 to C 6 alkyl or phen(C 1 to C 6 )alkyl; R<SP>1</SP> represents C 3 to C 4 alkyl; R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>3</SP> are independently selected from hydrogen, C 1 to C 6 alkyl, C 3 to C 5 akenyl or alkynyl and phen(C 1 to C 6 ) alkyl; and Y represents hydrogen, hydroxy, C 1 to C 6 alkoxy, phen(C 1 to C 6 )alkoxy, C 1 to C 6 alkyl or phen(C 1 to C 6 )- alkyl; or an acid addition salt of such a compound where A represents CNHR<SP>2</SP>R<SP>3</SP>. The compounds of Formula I are used as pharmaceuticals. Various methods for the preparation of compounds of Formula I are described.
