Abstract

1476270 Gauging devices PRIMROSE ENG CO Ltd 15 Dec 1975 51231/75 Heading B3B An edge or lateral surface locating device (i.e. a wobbler) comprises a finger 9 which is retained in a sleeve 12 by a spring and plunger 17, 18 acting on a ball end 10 thereof, the sleeve having a plain bore to receive a shank 11 having a pair of O-rings 15 to be frictionally retained on the shank, the shank having a blind bore to receive the spring and plunger. The device may be provided as a kit of parts having a selection of fingers 9 with different shaped free ends and a selection of shanks 11 with different lengths. The device is mounted in the spindle of a machine tool for setting the edge or lateral surface of a workpiece relative to the axis of rotation of the spindle.
