Abstract

1476157 Film cassettes EASTMAN KODAK CO 24 Oct 1974 [25 Oct 1973] 46060/74 Heading G2X A film cassette has two flexible, opaque leaves 21, 22 e.g. of plastic, hingedly connected at 9 along one edge; co-operating strips of fabric 3a, 3b which have synthetic pile threads provided with hooks or other engaging means and which are secured to each leaf adjacent its free edges; and a compressible sealing strip 4 or strips provided on at least one leaf. When the cassette is held closed by the engagement of strips 3a, 3b, strip 4 is compressed to render the cassette light-tight. The cassette is particularly for use with x-ray materials and the leaves may incorporate lead and/or copper intensifying screens.
