1475853 Automatic control of position VIDEONICS OF HAWAII Inc 17 March 1975 [22 May 1974] 10937/75 Addition to 1456032 Heading G3R [Also in Division G5] In an apparatus for playing back a multi-layered optical recording medium 64, containing record tracks at different depths therein, by means of an electro-optical playback detector 66, 67 which is focused on a selected track under the control of a tracking and focusing system, generally as disclosed in Specification 1456032 but with a light source 63 arranged to flood with light the general area of interest of at least two adjacent layers of the recording medium, the playback detector and the tracking and focusing system share a common lens 66.
