Fittings, external; boxes made from special blanks.-In a paper box provided with a device for supporting the box in an inclined position, the bottom of the box is formed with a slot c, Fig. 3, and the supporting-device 23, 25 is so arranged that it can be folded flat against the bottom of the box, the part 25 projecting through the slot c into the interior of the box. The supporting-device is adapted to be secured in its erect condition by bending down one or more lateral projections 40 of the part 25, withdrawal of the part 25 from the slot c being prevented by one or more lateral extensions on a prolongation 26 of the supporting-device. The box may be made with double walls, in which case the supporting- device may be strengthened by a tab 28 cut from the outer ply 12 of the bottom of the box. A double-walled collapsible box embodying the improvements may be made from a scored and slotted blank shaped as shown in Fig. 1. The lateral extensions 40, 47 of a part 25 are first folded over, and the part 25 is then caused to enter a slot c, after which the extensions 47 are again opened out flat. The blank is then doubled over longitudinally about the lines b, a, and the double sides 14, 15 are bent up at right-angles to the base portions 11, 12. After turning in flaps 32, 33, an inner end portion 17 with an attached display sheet is bent up at right-angles to the base, and an outer end portion 18 is bent over the part 17, an extension 19 being tucked between the parts 14, 15. The other end of the box is formed by turning in flaps 30, 31 and folding over them outer and inner end portions 20, 21. The supporting-device 23, 25 is reinforced by a part 28 struck out from the bottom member 12.
