Abstract

The individual particles of free-flowing, crosslinkable, thermoplastic or elastomeric base material are brought into high-energy motion. During or before this motion, graftable antioxidants and other additives are added to the base material and then diffuse into the surface of the particles by diffusion and are homogeneously distributed. This makes it possible, during later crosslinking, to graft the antioxidants onto the base material so that they can no longer volatilise.
