1475160 Shoots SKF INDUSTRIAL TRADING & DEVELOPEMENT CO BV 1 Aug 1974 [8 Aug 1973] 34058/74 Heading B8S Apparatus for use in conveying workpieces between processing stations comprises support structures 3 to which elongate pliable members 2 are fastened, the members 2 defining a passageway 1 within which workpieces travel. Each support structure 3 comprises a pair of side walls 4 separated by upper and lower elements 5, 6, the members 4-6 having recesses 9 formed therein which detachably receive the pliable members 2. The elements 5, 6 are each formed with an aperture 8 in which bolts 7 connecting the side walls 4 are located, the apertures 8 permitting adjustment of the positions of the elements 5, 6 and thus the adjustment of the relative positions of the members 2 to vary the size of the passageway 1. In the embodiment of Fig. 4 (not shown), diaphragm springs (11) are located between the side walls (4) of each structure and the bottom element (6), so that by tightening and slackening a bolt (7) the walls (4) are moved towards and away from each other.
