1473488 Treating water with sequestrants CALGON CORP 15 Jan 1976 01632/76 Heading C1C [Also in Division C7] Scale is prevented and removed from the metal surfaces in the aqueous circuit of a steam generator by adding to the circulating water or the feedwater both nitrilotriacetic and ethylenediaminetetracetic acids; they may be added as the tri- and tetra-sodium salts respectively. A scale-inhibiting composition is claimed containing NTA and EDTA in molar ratio from 0À05 ; 0À95 to 0À95 : 0À05; a defoamer or dispersive may be added to the composition.
