Abstract

1473424 Zinc-alloy for battery electrodes METALLURGIE HOBOKEN-OVERPELT 13 Aug 1974 [19 Sept 1973] 35630/74 Heading C7D A zinc powder containing mercury, for use as a compacted electrode in an electro-chemical battery, is produced by melting the zone adding part or all the mercury required in the battery and allowing the melt to homogenize prior to atomization to powder form. In this manner, it is claimed that the mercury is uniformly distributed in each grain of powder.
