Abstract

1472994 Laminated gasket FEDERALMOGUL CORP 26 April 1974 [8 May 1973] 00424/77 Divided out of 1472993 Heading B5N A gasket having a through passage comprises a moulded heat-insulating resin core with opposed flat surfaces, one of which is formed on a projection outwards from a non-bearing surface which is opposite the other flat surface, each flat surface being provided with a resilient gasket sheet. The gasket may be interposed between the carburetter and the engine manifold in an automobile. The core and sheet may be of the materials described in Specification 1,472,993 and may be adhesively bonded as there described. The core may be provided with thickened portions around bolt openings and a thin fin projecting from the main body of the core for deflecting or dissipating heat.
