1472408 Antiseptic composition FLOW PHARMACEUTICALS INC 28 May 1974 23655/74 Heading A5E An aqueous, antiseptic, iodophor solution comprises (a) from 0.00005-10% by wt. iodine, (b) from 0.0001-20% by wt of a water soluble iodide salt, (c) from 0.001-25% by wt polyvinyl alcohol and (d) from 0.001-10% by wt loric acid. It is preferred to use KI or NaI as the soluble iodide salt. Other additives. include H3PO4, HCI, H2SO4, HNO3 or acetic acid to adjust the pH of the solution, alkali metal and alkaline earth metal salts to adjust the osmotic pressure of the solution, anionic, cationic and nonionic detergents.
