Abstract

1471650 Measuring device J C HISLOP 25 June 1976 [25 April 1973] 19763/73 Heading G1M A measuring apparatus for measuring the length of material in a roll by insertion of a tape into the roll between successive turns thereof comprises a body 2 supporting a roll 12 of tape, tape guiding means 16 adapted for location between successive turns of the roll, and rotatably driven counting means 28 arranged to be driven by a pulley or roller 38 which is rotated by the tape as it is paid out, the body being adapted to receive successive rolls of fresh tape so that in use, the tape paid out may be severed from the roll. Reference has been made by the Comptroller to Specification 1425824.
