1471546 N - acyl - N<SP>1</SP> - acyloxyalkyl - piperazines and - hexahydro - 1,4 - diazepines HOKURIKU PHARMACEUTICAL CO Ltd 14 Nov 1974 49342/74 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of formula and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts, wherein R 1 is an optionally C 1-6 alkyl, C 1-6 alkoxy or/and halogen substituted residue of benzoic, nicotinic or cinnamic acid; R 2 is C 1-6 alkyl or is optionally substituted (as per R 1 ) Ph, PhCH 2 or PhCH : CH; and m and n are each 2 or 3, provided that (i) when R 1 is di- or tri-methoxybenzoyl, R 2 may not be identically substituted di- or tri-methoxyphenyl, and (ii) when R 1 is a nicotinic acid residue, and m = n = 2, R 2 may not be 2-alkoxy-5-chlorophenyl. These compounds are prepared by acylating the N-unsubstituted analogue. The above compounds have therapeutic activity as coronary vasodilating, analgetic, spasmolytic and hypotensive agents. Biological tests for coronary vasodilating activity utilise intravenous administration.
