Abstract

1471410 Shaving unit dispensers WILKINSON SWORD Ltd 29 July 1974 [14 Aug 1973] 38344/73 Heading B8P A dispenser 12 for shaving units includes a front slot 11 from which the units 14 can be removed one by one and a rear slot 12a into which used units can be inserted end first. The unused units are urged towards the slot 11 by a spring 15 which engages at one end a slider 16 located behind the unused units and at the other end engages the used units which have been inserted through the rear slot 12a. The used units abut projections 12b and 12c in the rear wall of the dispenser. In a variation a second slider may be interposed between the used units and the spring. One wall 13 of the dispenser is provided with a longitudinal aperture or a transparent window (17) through which the unused units and the slider can be viewed, there being index marks on the dispenser adjacent the aperture or window to aid in identifying the number of units which are left. Either the slider or the rearmost unused unit may be of a colour distinctive from that of the dispenser to enable it to be picked out more easily. In a second variation, there are no index marks but the slider is provided with a rear extension viewable through a transverse window or aperture. The extension carries rows of dots denoting the number of unused units left only one row being visible at one time.
