507,816. Visible card indexes. AKTIESELSKAPET ELEKTRISK BUREAU. Aug. 2, 1938, No. 22803. Convention date, July 30, 1937. [Class 146 (i)] A tray 1 for holding a visible card index has a scale 7 divided according to the card spacing and numbered so that the number of cards in the tray may be ascertained easily and is provided with a pointer 8 which can be set to this number on the scale. The pointer 8 is carried by an endless-band 9 also provided with a scale so arranged that the number on the band corresponding with that to which the pointer is set is visible through a window at the front of the tray. The cards are mounted on claws 5, 6 mounted on bars 3, 4, the bars being guided by pin-and-slot connections 15 for endwise and inclined movement respectively when it is desired to insert or remove cards.
