Abstract

1471257 Seat slides H R TURNER (WILLENHALL) Ltd 17 April 1975 [17 Jan 1974 (2) 18 April 1974] 2176/74 2177/74 and 16978/74 Heading A4J [Also in Division F2] A vehicle seat slide comprises a guide 10 of channel section with inturned flanges 16 and a seat support 11 with confronting portions urged into engagement with the flanges to prevent rattle by a curved resiliently deformable member 22 disposed between the guide and the support and having its ends in contact with one of the guide and support and a zone between its ends contacting the other of the guide and the support. The member may be disposed in a recess in the guide. The member may be of plastics or spring metal and may be sinuous. Two or more members may be provided. A latch 33 pivotally mounted on a bracket secured to the sliding rail releasably engages one of a plurality of notches 35 in the fixed rail. In a modification Figs. 4-5 (not shown), the latch may be pivoted about a vertical axis.
