1471096 Non-circular fibres M N BELITSIN A G BORIK G H KUDRYASHOVA S A KUDRYASHOV W V GONCHAROVA N A SADKOVA S A PAVLO V V KULIKOV G P TOLPYGINA T N GOTIE E G TOROPOVA N I ERMOLINA and I V PUNCHNIN 22 July 1975 30618/75 Heading B5B [Also in Division D1] Fibres having complex cross-sectional shapes comprising two elements 8 and 9 composed of three rays 10, 11, 12 radiating from a single point A each of 10 and 12, and 11 and 12 defining an angle α of from 10-70 degrees the free ends of 12 being joined by a zig-zagged bridge 13 of the same material, the arrangement of the rays and the flexed bridge providing open capillary channels 14 over their whole length with the outer surfaces of the elements 8 and 9. The length of ray 16 (Fig. 4) does not exceed rays 10 or 11. The fibres which may be formed from polyamides, polyesters, poloyolefines or polyacrylonitriles, are spun from spinneret plates similar to that shown in Fig. 7.
