Abstract

1469105 Connector for light guides DEFENCE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 8 May 1974 [24 May 1973] 24997/73 Heading G2J A two-part connector for light guides, which may be single optical fibres or bundles 11, comprises a female assembly formed by a tube 12 for receiving one light guide and a connection tube 13 which is a sliding fit over the tube 12 and is fixed thereto, and a male assembly formed by a tube 12 for receiving a second light guide and being a sliding fit in the tube 13. Each part of the connector may comprise a plurality of male or female assemblies, and each part may include male and female assemblies, see Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown).
