Abstract

1468962 Alarm systems T V GELUWE 26 Feb 1974 [1 March 1973] 8629/74 Heading G4N [Also in Division H3] A monitoring installation arranged to revert to the armed state soon after detection of an alarm condition comprises at least one loop A, B, M including at least one detector responsive to a change in condition, e.g. due to burglar, excessive temperature or fire, humidity, presence of gases or movement of persons, i.e. invalids, to switch the loop from its open to closed state and conversely and a circuit 3A, 3B, 3M responsive to each change between the two states but insensitive to the taking up of either state to provide a signal to actuate an alarm device 8 or to inhibit automatic actuation of an alarm device 11. Devices 11, 12 provide an alarm if persons monitored are immobile and do not carry out certain actions within a first and second periods defined by a counter 10. A remote controlled switch 7 couples the signal to the device 8 in all other applications and the alarm is for a predetermined period defined by monostable circuit 6. Loop A includes switches actuated by doors and windows. Loop M includes contacts actuated by infra-red or radar operated sensors. Switches SA ... SM may be operated manually or by remote control.
