Abstract

1468734 Change speed control AUTOMOBILES M BERLIET 23 Sept 1974 [5 Dec 1973] 41311/74 Heading F2D A change-speed control lever 7, which extends upwardly through an aperture 8 in the floor 1a of a vehicle cab 1 mounted on springs 3 on a vehicle chassis 2, is ball-mounted at 9 on a support 10, which is constantly pressed against the underside of the cab floor la, around and closing the aperture 8, by springs 11, reacting against a sprung portion of the vehicle other than the cab, e.g. the engine M. The opening 8 may be sealed by a bellows 14 or baffle plate (15, Figs. 2 and 3, not shown). The cab 1 is linked at 5 for tilting about an axis 4, and the shift lever 7 and support 10 do not interfere with such tilting. The shift lever 7 operates a slide-turn selector shaft 13.
