1468628 Rest room complex R REZAZEDEH 23 Sept 1975 [26 Sept 1974] 38979/75 Heading E1A [Also in Division G4] A rest room complex consists of a plurality of compartments 10 connected to a central control unit 41. Each compartment is made from two side panels, a front end panel, a rear end panel, a ceiling panel and a floor panel. These are held together by tangs on one edge of a panel fitting into slots in an adjacent panel with bolts holding the panels so positioned. Furniture as required is placed in the compartments. Inside the compartment there is a ceiling light 22, a fan 23, a warning lamp 21 and a loud speaker 20. The door 18 is maintained locked by a coin operated lock and timer unit 19. This unit accepts coins from outside the compartment to per- mit entry thereto and also accepts coins from inside the compartment which set a clock relative to the coinage inserted. There are limit switches in the floor panel of the compartment to detect the presence of an occupant. Control unit 41 has two lights 42, 43 for each compartment. When switch 61 is switched to occupied white lights 43 are illuminated for those compartments which are occupied but the time paid for has not expired. When switched to overtime red lights 42 are illuminated for the compartments that are occupied and the time paid for has expired. Switch 44 allows an operant to contact all the compartments with red lights showing. Alternatively, the panel is arranged for selective connection to individual compartments. Unit 19 has lights to denote whether the compartment is occupied or vacant. In operation a user inserts a coin in unit 19 to gain entry to the compartment. After closing the door further coins are inserted in unit 19 dependant on the time of occupation required. If the user over stays the time paid for light 21 starts flashing and it may be accompanied by an audible signal. The presence of the user can also be detected on unit 41.
