Abstract
1468556 Lamps THORN ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 30 Oct 1975 [18 Nov 1974] 49844/74 Heading F4R A sealed-beam U.V. lamp comprises a light source, preferably a metal halide arc tube, in a sealed enclosure consisting of a reflector and a cover through which U.V. light can pass, the reflector and cover being joined around a common peripheral edge and the cover having, on its inner surface, a layer of material, preferably zinc sulphide, which is substantially opaque to far U.V. light of wavelength shorter than 315 nm. The lamp may be held in the hand.
