1468517 Anti-slip composition J F HARRIS C J HARRIS and R W WOODHEAD [trading as HARROW'S GAME SHOT] 16 Sept 1974 [16 Aug 1973] 38806/73 Headings C4X and C5W An anti-slip composition comprising paraffin wax and to 5% by weight of anhydrous wool fat based on the total composition may be prepared by heating paraffin wax and wool fat to boiling and optionally in the presence of one or more additives, stirring the mixture at high speed, allowing the mixture to cool to a temperature approaching setting point, and pouring the resultant composition into a mould. The composition may further comprise perfume (e.g. citrus oils), colouring, a microcrystalline wax hardener/smoother or a resinous substance (e.g. rosin). The compositions are preferably in tablet form and may be used to obtain a satisfactory finger grip in games such as darts, bowls and cricket.
