Abstract

1467689 Bearings FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 23 Dec 1974 [24 Jan 1974] 55587/74 Heading F2A A bearing assembly for a shaft consisting of a casing 1 and cap 2 has a seating 3 on which a thrust element 4 is located by a spring clip 5 having a base 6 situated in a groove 7 in the casing, and legs 8 at the end of the base which clamp against the casing or cap and secure the thrust element in position. In applications involving only small axial forces the thrust element may be part of a split ring.
