Abstract

1467402 Furniture joints E AMBASZ 27 Feb 1974 [5 March 1973] 8787/74 Heading F2M [Also in Division A4] A column 2 is connected to a plurality of radially extending members such as a foot 3, 6 and a stringer 4 by clamping some between discs 8, 16 as by means of a tie-rod 19, the disc 8 having a conical extension 9 and the members 3, 4 having crown-sectors 13, 12 which abut therewith and have projecting flanges such as 11 received in the discs. A support 5 for a table top is secured to the column 2 by a spigot 5a glued therein, the disc 8 also being glued in position. The members 2, 3, 4 are made of metal and gaps at the base of the column between the members 3, 4 are closed by sectors of plastics material metallized on the exposed surface.
