Abstract
The paint block (1) is attached by an adhesive layer (13) with its underside (4) in a cup-shaped receptacle (2) adapted to its shape. The upper side (5) forms the wearing surface of the paint block (1) which is at least partially of conical, hemispherical or pyramidal construction. In this case, its base forms the upper side (5) of the paint block (1). The outer surface sloping downwards the mid-axis (3) forms, as underside (4), the attachment surface of the paint block (1) in the receptacle (2). By virtue of this design, the mass of the paint block (1) is used up evenly and completely during painting. The paint mass maintains its even consistency such that no softening occurs in the central region of the paint block (1). Additionally, the paint block (1) is used up just as quickly in the central region as in the edge region down to the underside (4) such that the adhesive layer (13) in the region of the underside (4) is not prematurely dissolved. <IMAGE>
