1466653 Purifying hydrocarbons by extraction or extractive distillation KRUPP-KOPPERS GmbH 31 Oct 1975 [17 Dec 1974] 45567/75 Heading C5E Hydrocarbons are purified by liquid-liquid extraction or extractive distillation using as selective solvent an N-substituted morpholine to which has been added 0À005-0À02 wt. per cent of H 3 PO 4 , a phosphoric acid salt and/or a vanadium or molybdenum compound. Preferably the additive is H 3 PO 4 , V 2 O 5 , or MoO 3 in amount 0À006-0À01 wt. per cent, and the solvent is N-formylmorpholine.
