Abstract

1466602 Voltage monitoring SIEMENS AG 18 Oct 1974 [18 Oct 1973] 45297/74 Heading G1U A plurality of voltages, notionally divided into a set of groups, are sequentially sampled repeatedly and a switch is provided whereby any one group can be selected to cause its voltages, when they are sampled, to be stored and displayed. As described the voltages represent the anode currents in a chlorine making process and each group corresponds to the anodes of one electrolysis bath. Further, after each group of voltages has been sampled they are compared with various pre-set values, no details given, and an indicator, associated with that group, is energized if any out of tolerance value is detected. Thus in use the system repeatedly and sequentially monitors the anode currents. When any electrolysis bath is found to be out of tolerance in any way its identity is indicated, whereupon an operator can set the switch to its number to cause all the anode currents for that bath to be displayed. As described digital stores, preceeded, and followed, by D-to-A converters are used.
