Abstract

1466572 Windows HALLAM SLEIGH & CHESTON Ltd 3 March 1975 [4 Dec 1973] 56159/73 Heading E1J A panel assembly comprises a panel mounted at one edge in a surrounding frame 2, and at the other edge in a part 22 interlocked with another part 14 detachably secured to the frame, spring means being located between the two parts 22, 14. Part 14 is secured to the frame by screws 21 and has legs 17 of dove-tailed section. A part 22 on each leg 17 has inclined surfaces 24 biassed into engagement with the inclined surfaces of legs 17 by leaf springs 29. Panels 3, 4 are secured in respective parts 22 and engage in felt lined channels 12 in the frame 2. Panel 3 is slidable by movement of part 22 along part 14; panel 4 is fixed. The panels are inserted into the frame by depression of springs 29. Parts 14, 22 may be of metal or plastics. The panels may be of material other than glass.
